From gift to field impact
Our Work
SAPA is an alliance and action platform focused on the practical conditions African penguins need to stabilize and recover.
Strategic pillars
Our work centers on feeding grounds, nesting habitat, rescue capacity, monitoring, education, and public advocacy.
Theory of change
If SAPA helps protect feeding grounds, restore nesting habitat, support rescue capacity, fund monitoring, and mobilize public pressure, then African penguin colonies have a stronger chance to stabilize and recover.
Geographic focus
The initial focus is South African priority colonies and the marine areas connected to their foraging needs. A CMS map placeholder can be replaced with verified colony and program layers.
Partner delivery model
SAPA funds and amplifies qualified partners, coastal communities, educators, and researchers, with clear grant agreements and transparent reporting.
Annual priorities
Priority placeholders include feeding-zone advocacy, emergency partner grants, artificial nest deployment, school resources, and donor transparency systems.
Our work protects the conditions penguins need to recover.
SAPA supports six connected program areas, each designed for donor clarity, partner accountability, and science-led action.
